New: Our TGC Riser for the Large Module Range

Risers of our new TGC series are a further development of our proven THERMO risers. The models in the TGC series for use in iron and steel casting, hand moulding (large-scale casting) are thick-walled riser inserts that allow for an extraction rate of up to 60%. The material properties of the solid riser wall are adjusted from exothermic to insulating depending on the intended use. 

As a result of optimised material properties and adapted volume, the output can be significantly increased and the efficiency improved. With risers from this product segment, the caster can cover a module range of between 8.5 cm and 14.0 cm (others on request). In order to meet the requirements of this module range, our formulations are tailored to the various geometries. This means that module-relevant factors such as burning temperature, ignition, burn-off and heating time can be optimised. 

TGC riser: The Product Idea

With the risers of the new TGC series, we wanted to develop a riser system that is characterised by smaller contact surfaces and riser necks, better output and less volume (liquid iron) with a high module compared to traditional riser variants.

The Product Range

The product range of our new TGC riser series includes the TGC 100,000L, TGC 170,000WL75 and TGC 240,000L models. We also offer the risers of our new TGC series with breaking cores or our NET-Technology®. This product variant is particularly suitable for the production of wind power castings, among other things.
